The problem with doing this is that it can interfere with resumes that have been scanned into document management software. Some companies use this to reduce paper trails but having too much on a resume can backfire.

These can make electronic documents stand out but another feature that a lot of users love is the ability to use tags. This works best for those who use career search websites.

It does not take a lot of effort to have an attractive profile but it does take a little creativity. However, one must take an honest look at themselves as well as the industry they are looking to impress. In other words, what will work for a graphic designer straight out of college may not be ideal for a veteran executive assistant. Some of the resume and portfolio sites also offer feedback and templates that may pique an idea or two that may help the user with their profile promotion.
